Look at what city the newspaper covers. I don't think this particular city has ever been known to be in the loop.

Umm, Washington Examiner covers Navy and Georgetown, one current BE member and one target. They probably have some contacts in both athletic departments.

While today is about going to 12(11) how about this for 14:
There are two other options on the table one is to go to 14 teams like the ACC and thus protecting themselves from further poaching.
That scenario would have the West with Boise State, BYU, Houston, SMU, Air Force, Louisville and Memphis. The East would be UConn, Cincinnati, Rutgers, USF, UCF, Navy, and either Temple, Army or East Carolina.

It is about the only scenario in which Memphis makes any sense, unless they are bball only.
