MEMORANDUM

To: SMU Season Ticket Holders

FROM: Tom Starr

RE: TicketCity Bowl

As we head into the last month of the college football season, the post-season bowl games will come more sharply into focus week by week.

We are excited about being the first game to ever feature a bowl match-up between the Big Ten Conference and Conference USA. It will be a momentous occasion and we hope that you plan to be in the stands to witness history.

The Big Ten race is wide open at the present time with six teams having already achieved the required six wins for bowl eligibility, and five others are still in the running to get to that necessary number of victories.

Coach June Jones and your SMU Mustangs are certainly in the TicketCity Bowl's sights as a potential opponent for the Big Ten in the second addition of college football's newest post-season contest. Although normally a New Year's Day game, this year's event will be conducted on January 2 due to the 1st being an NFL Sunday.

Many festivities will surround the playing of the game at Cotton Bowl Stadium in Fair Park, making it a fun day for all. Please go to our website - http://www.ticketcitybowl.com - to order your tickets to the game, which is destined to grow into becoming one of the nation's top college bowl games in the near future.

Thank you...and we'll see you at Cotton Bowl Stadium on January 2nd.

Respectfully,

Tom Starr

President & CEO

What a fitting event this would be if only Doak were around to see it. A return to the 'house that he built. :(

GO PONIES!!!

Get a couple tickets. If we do not go you can sell them. Ask Mestango.

Since our hopes of going to the Liberty seem remote now, I hope we get to do this and play a BigTen team.

If I were a player, I would not want to play in a bowl game in our state. I would like to play somewhere new and exciting to enjoy all the bowl festivities. Versus staying home for a bowl game.

Yep. I have Armed Forces and Ticket City tickets and doubt I will use either set. Hello Stub Hub.

Why in the hell wouldn't you want to see SMU play in the Cotton Bowl?

I've seen SMU play in the cotton bowl. Mostly a disaster. Now, those here who saw SMU's first ride through the cotton bowl probably have fonder memories.

not sure who this was directed to, so I'll go ahead and answer.

I would love to see them play there and I most definitely will if and when we get a bid to go. But I'm not buying tickets to each and every bowl we MIGHT go to.

I bought the AFB tix because I have three seats in the second row on the 50 yard line. Pretty confident I can unload those on stub hub if the need arises.
