Ticket City Bowl takes #2 in CUSA, guessing they would trade down for us

Sheraton Hawai'i doesn't want Tulsa 2 years in a row. Hawai'i Bowl wants the SMU vs UH match-up. I suspect we oblige.

Armed Forces Bowl historically picks number 2 which is why last year we went. I dont think AFB wants SMU twice in a row. TicketCity is the most logical place, plus its where our home stadium use to be (Cotton Bowl).

Usually they send East teams East but I could see them sending Southern Miss to Ticket City Bowl if they finished strong and behind UH. Southern Miss has kinda of been screwed by going to the New Orleans Sunbelt Bowl about 4 times. Southern Miss could probably get a reasonable crowd to TicketCity Bowl. CUSA will probably push for remaining teams in best Bowls

It would be great exposure if SMU winds up going to the Ticket City bowl to face Big 10 team. It would get some attention.

It really helped UCF when it played Georgia last year.

Well I think SMU should just be like Hawaii bowl dont bother inviting us, because nobody is interested. Then if we arent going to TicketCity, go put SMU2CottonBowl signs outside of it.

Bingo. If both teams are eligible, and not contractually bound to appear elsewhere, this matchup seems 99.999 percent likely.

So our bowl game is either too close to home - or too f*****g far away. Hate our bowl game possibles - but better than a losing season.

If we're playing, I'm on the SMU side -- of course.

If it's Iowa vs. somebody other than us -- I'm out
