Silver Lining Awards list

For those that still like to have a negative attitude after a win we have the next edition of the Silver Lining Awards.
1. Bowl eligible
2. Undefeated in Big East Conference play
3. Flawlessly played first half of football and excellent play for 3 of the 4 quarters
4. Bus continues to have an excellent array of appetizing foods a the BUS Stop, including Jon's special gumbo.
5. Zach Line is a scoring machine. Needs to concentrate on scoring a little less for the other team but I am not going to complain as long as he keeps up a 3:1 ratio.
6. I continue to assert that Stephon Sanders is going to be a monster. Bookend LBs of he and JaGared will grab national acclaim next year.
7. LSU/Alabama game on the radio on the return trip home kept Ponyte from having to listen to my drivel. (Ponyte requested I add this one.)
Feel free to add any POSITIVE remarks to the the list. As always Lakehighland Pony and Ponysnob are banned form positing on this thread.
PS: As a side not unrelated to silver lining, a lady in front of me asked if smupony94 thought he was an aggie because he would not sit down. I explained that some fans liked to stand and also that the row in front of him was standing so he had to stand to see.

We go undefeated, the lucky flag is back!
Crushed Tulane's running game
Best HC parade in a long time
Big East teams will pay us to play in FOrd during Nov. What fabulous football weather.
Rich and John are light year's ahead of the LSU radio announcers.
With 3 games left, we have already met or surpassed most folks expectations for this year.

Rich and John point is really true. I was listening to UTs announcers on the car radio during the OU game, and was not impressed at all. We may not be top 25 in all we do, but the broadcast crew is. Swanny was the best, and Hampton is a great replacement.

I'm not sure I approve of the silver lining awards on a win.

I have to do it to offset the negative threads posted after we win. I normally would agree that it should not be a factor.

Regarding Ponyte's statement about the LSU announcers, I agree. That's why I switched over to the station with the Alabama Announcers. Those guys were COOL! Reminding me of the old Bill Stern type talk. Energetic, resourceful, knowledgeable and highly entertaining.

Just thinking back when Vern Lundquist was one of our announcers. Also, either on SMU radio (KPIN ?) or an announcer at Texas Stadium, we had Pete Stare who was paired with ? Pete I think played Basketball and Baseball (Pitched?) at SMU. I know his younger brother, Tim played on the Freshman Basketball Team, and then transferred to Wake Forest to play. Both as I recall came from Los Angeles area, and after graduation, both worked at either Republic Nat. or First Nat. Bank in Dallas.

I gave her my real name and told her to go to Ad's office and speak to them if she has a problem with me.
