Tulane should hire Nutt. He is a great first couple of years coach but then fails after that. He could get them somewhat turned around and then they might be able to get out of their stupor.

Word is they want somebody proven - Gus is lower down on the list.

My money is on Leach or Leavitt.

Headline- Nutt: Busted.

I think Tulane should go after Tommy Bowden or Rich Rodriguez. If it worked before why not again.

knew he was in big trouble when he was (over)signing 40 kids to a recruiting class. He wasn't competitive for the quality qualified kids so he was desperately oversigning the ones who probably should be in a JUCO praying that some might get in

They should have never brought him in in the first place

Who cares, and who cares who they bring in. They are and will always be a middle to bottom level team in the SEC. Every once in a while they have a year or two and compete at the top but how often are they getting Eli Manning's to walk through their doors. Time to bring in the next coach that will be there for 4 years, then the next, rinse and repeat. Could be the future A&M and Missouri get to endure.

Ole Miss fired a solid coach in Cutcliffe who has quietly made the Duke team (albeit bad) more respectible and then hired this Nutt. Ole Miss will have to really look around to find a great coach. Hopefully, they'll stay away from ours.

Now that Ole Miss is out I wonder if CJ Betheard might consider SMU again. Although, I really do like the Burcham pickup.

I hope crazy Houston Nutt catches on someplace else soon.
