Just another academic nut job that can only find a job at a mediocre school. BYU has a chance to be good if they were put in a BCS conference and werent discriminated for being a religious school. I get it Mormons are controversial group, and Im by no means one, but that shouldnt have anything to do with football.

As Joseph Smith said, " I don't care how you bring'em. Just bring'em young".
Or, so I've been told.

Fine by me, I really like the idea of BYU in the Big East. Say what you will about BYU, they have great fans/follwing.

To ColoStang, excatly, you cant meet nicer people than BYU, even Aggies cant compare (and some of the aggies back our fans up when some of their idiot fans were mocking us.)

my daughter is LDS and my better half is latina, so...as Romney said to Perry..."I've heard worse"
note: the use of Romney and Perry in the sentence above does not mean I endorse either for POTUS, just thought it was a clever, good way to take the high road that Romney used
note part 2: the addition of a disclaimer by means of the note above does not mean that I endorse the sitting POTUS

I love how the professor begins the letter by apologizing for any presumptiousness, and then proceeds to outline a scenario by which OU could "gain leverage" over UT. Talk about presumption. We all know how that worked out for OU.

The OU History Professor is an alumnus of BYU, so my question is this: Do the history students walk out graduate with an OU edumacation, or with more than 1 wife?

I don't think I have a dog in this fight, but it is hard to avoid commenting that BYU does not seem so much different than ND - or Fordham on a smaller scale - in that the football team sometimes seems an adjunct to the faith.
If its okay for Catholics, why not Mormons?
