San Antonio's DA May Pursue Sandusky

Front page of paper down here, plus on radio, plus talk this morning at the courthouse about it. Apparently when PSU here for Alamo Bowl Sandusky had young boys with his traveling party and may have taken advantage of them in hotel rooms here during the Alamo bowl week, threatened them if they told they would be sent home, etc. Ironically Alamo bowl game last one he coached for PSU.

If true, hope our DA files against him just to mess with him some more. But I keep asking myself, didn't the other adults think it was weird he had young boys with him traveling to the bowl game? Obviously PSU people also knew these boys were with him then. Why didn't 1 responsible adult question any of this ??? Makes me sick, and getting more sick the more facts that come out.

Why does everyone in the house and senate keep their mouth shut about the scourge in the whitehouse. You will be killed ...

Quick question. Since Sandusky took his underage victim across state lines, does that open up the possibility of violating Federal statues?

As repulsive as the entire PSU situation is, I believe the D.A. is grandstanding for votes. Didn't this situation with PSU in the Alamo Bowl occur in 1998-99. As much as I hate saying this, most crimes except for murder, have a statue of limitations.

Reed has been the DA for quite awhile, doesn't really need the pub, and probably won't run again next cycle so don't think there is that much grandstanding going on, Last election she said this is probably it for her. Also, limitations does not apply in Texas to what they may charge him with. May be limitations in PA, but not for the charges down here as I understand it.

Talk at courthouse this morning was she was serious about pursuing, this was no joke.

I read statute of limitations applies only after the victims are 50 years of age. Don't know for sure. Maybe someone else can add their knowledge.

Again, he had the perfect cover of that charity and he was bringing boys down to the bowl game to experience the fun and excitement. But, wow, the statute is limitations is that long? I find that surprising, but then again, look at that Smart girl and how long that creep kept her.

I say go after him.
Can't stand those who stood by knowing about Sandusky. One thing I've learned to do is to watch how children behave around the adults that they are with. It tells so much.

I wonder if Sandusky was treated abusively when he was young and is passing it along as a learned behavior or if it's something that he started himself without ever having been a victim. In cases where someone was a victim themselves I'd like to go after those who did it to them as well. So I'd like time limits removed from those crimes.
I also wonder if Sandusky is the type who will commit suicide rather than face prison for the rest of his life. If he was a suicidal type it seems like he would have already done it by now because the story is now broken for the world to see.

Watch for a huge class action lawsuit by attorney's for the victims against Penn State for gross negligence, etc. I heard $250,000,000.00 is the starting number. It will be a huge distraction and financial drain on Penn State for years to come.

We will never know for sure. Because I can virtually guarantee if this ever goes to a trial the defense lawyer will get this story out there in a big way, whether or not it is true.

Defense 101. Your defendant must be a sympathetic figure. The more monstrous the crime he's accused of, the more strongly "victimhood" must be established.

OK... back to talking about football, before one (or ten) of our many lawyers tells me that a defense counsel would never lie.

The inmates in general population will be waiting on him. The real travesty will occur if he goes to a minimum security place kept away from rapists

So a older woman chasing a younger boy is called a cougar. So does that mean an older man chasing a younger boy is called a nittany lion?..........
