At all of the Gamedays that I've watched this season, Chris Fowler does nothing but rag on people who put things other than football far and above all else. His entire contribution to Gameday today was "lol Stanford. Nerds!" and commenting on how they came to their show straight from the library, etc.

That is his way of being funny, I guess. He fails miserably in the humor department.

I like Fowler...I think he fills his role well. Kind of like fans incl those on mesage board. Corso represents those who are real fans and just love the game and share an opinion. Hirbstreit represents those who are fans but try to break it down and analyze the game and think they are smarter than everybody and then Fowler...the guy who represnts those who like the game but aren't fanatical and try to keep it in perspective and poke fun at it and stir things up.

Fowler seems like a good guy. In between segments on Gameday he would get up and talk to the crowd, say how impressed he was with the turnout/enthusiasm. He also talked for a few minutes about the Penn St issue and reminded everyone to be respectful with their signs/chants, etc

didn't he do that great Patterson impersonation? that's gotta count for a lot.
