Seriously? Come on man, I get that you don't like his offense, but look where we have been? We essentially were off the football radar for damn near 25 years. Now in just 4 short seasons, we are going to likely be playing in our 3rd bowl game in a row, and getting into a BCS conference before we ever win more than 8 games in a season.

We've gotten SOOOO much better than we were before he got here, and I'm as frustrated as anyone that we aren't playing up to what I believe our potential is. But I honestly believe that there are only a limited number of coaches that could do what he has done here, and I'd be willing to be that there are even fewer coaches that would make our program respectable enough in this short amount of time to get us a seat at the AQ table before the music stops playing.

Question 1. We're going from C-USA to an AQ conference, it's going to take a couple years of being battered around until our AQ recruiting can kick in and we'll start inching towards .500 records, and later winning records. So yes, with June or with freaking Urban Meyer, it's going to take at least 3-5 years for us to hope to have a winning record in the Big East. This has less to do with coaching and more to do with talent disparity in the conferences (and the aging and maturity of that talent).

Question 2. No, I never ever implied the Big East would be easier. Even with AQ talent coming in, we'd still be playing Houston, Boise, and BYU, I don't see us winning our division any time soon.

I am sick I had to miss the party at Ray's house and missed the NBA trophy pics, etc. Am sure was a fun event!

The last couple of years Jones has recruited pretty darn well in non-AQ status. Of course the recruiting will have to pick up even more when we move up in class. But i don't see anyone in he Big East that we can't be competitive with in the next several years once we get the QB situation straightened out. I mean no slight to McD, he works hard, is a good guy, and he is what he is, but I think that there are many, many quarterbacks around the country playing at non-AQ schools who could have done much more with what he has been given. They just aren't on our roster.
