One of these days I'm going to get to indignantly demand that some Coach resign-never have(at least since Bobby Collins) -Doherty got close. I never liked Shumate though but then he had to go and win a Championship which nobody else has done around here in decades

Fran actually has better record than Sherman. This is a pretty talented A&M team to be 5-5

Perhaps the most chronically underachieving program in all of college football. Notre Dame may give the Aggies a run for that title in the last 20 years or so. But over the long term, no one underperforms like A&M. As far as I'm concerned, its one of the enduring mysteries of sports. I have tried and tried to understand why A&M is so mediocre year in and year out, but I can't.

I love it - Aggie was so cocky at the first of year. Melt downs all year.

Bear Bryant was the only one with the stature to tell the alums, I mean former Aggies, to keep their meddlesome hands off of his program. Gene Stallings might have built an enduring legacy there but they were too impatient with him.

Problem is SMU's game against the Aggs to begin the season looks like a bad loss.
