The memorial at the restaraunt in Huntington was also very powerful.

I remember this when it happened and I have been there for 2 SMU games at Marshall. I am incredibly moved every time I think of it. I'm glad they made the movie. This was an extraordinary story and the team and fans onboard needed to be remembered. I saw "We Are Marshall" between my first and 2nd visits there. I have to point out how incredible the Marshall fans are. They are so friendly and hospitable constantly saying, "Thank you for coming". They even bought our table (of 10) lunch before the last game there. We kept waiting for the check and found out they had already paid it. We said thank you to them and they also said "Thank you for coming". In "old school" fashion they would even have fans meet and greet our players upon arriving at the hotel with a "Hi and welcome to Marshall". If we do go to the Big East I'm really going to MISS Marshall.

Only about 6 weeks before the Wichita State Football Team's plane crashed too. And I remember reading one of the first donations sent to Marshall was from Wichita State.
