I just wanted to share that I enjoy watching our new commercial I believe made by Thad and co.? It is 1000x times better than that crap commercial with SMU unbridled, like I dont care about all the different people and professors we have. It doesnt inspire me listening to a bunch of people blabbing in sync with each other. Whereas the new commercial feels a call to the dallas community to bond with their school. I just wanted to say thank you and great job to whomever directed, created, and funded it.

Agree. Who wants to see students mixing chemicals, watching an opera, etc like every other university commercial. Give me sports every time. That's what people care about

Right, it makes the university look more an elitist school mocking the dallasites... whereas the other one is come out and enjoy your local university.

Yeah, screw showing the world our science and educational progress for helping the next generation of humans. All we need to show people is we know how to Boulevard and tackle people.

Not really showing any of that, but science is overrated in certain fields, and as well as most of the dedman schools. Its better to show as an advertisement, community, spirit, traditions, faith, academic quality through rankings and notable speakers. Just having bunch of liberal goons say yay for diversity doesnt make me want to go.

Everyone knows that universities have science labs and math and music classes. Everyone also knows that just cause you put a bunch of minorities in a commercial doesn't mean you are diverse.

A university is identified nationwide by its football team and in some cases the basketball team. Unless you are in the Ivy League, screw academic commercials.

Science is overrated? Or are you saying the science departments at SMU are overrated? Either way -- nice plug for coming to school at SMU.

And how did you discern anyone's "liberal" leanings? You do know that not all educators are liberal, right?
