If Houston goes to a BCS bowl does anyone know how Conference USA shares that bowl revenue?

I don't want to go to a bowl if we play like we did 3 of the last 4 weeks.

Each BCS bowl pays $18mil. CUSA splits all bowl revenues evenly between the 12 schools.

SMU gets $1.5mil + revenues from other five or six bowls.

I thought that most of the expenses were deducted prior to any splits. Is that not correct?

If Houston goes to the BCS and then leaves for the BigEast, doesn't the BE ultimately get the BCS credit in terms of AQ status?

If Houston goes to a BCS bowl and they get this huge payout then CUSA shouldntbitch about it to them, and we need to do it next year so we are clear haha. Also all the teams that are going to BE should get credit for 2008(or 09 I believe what I read from ESPN) to 2012 will be assessed wherever the team is in 2013.

I read somewhere that CUSA pays the expenses (probably fixed amount) and the schools then split the bowl money. From where CUSA gets money I do not know.

Yes, and this is about the only reason why they want Boise.

All I know is that if Houston goes to a BCS bowl we will get more money than if they did not.
