Give me the New Orleans Bowl!

-Zach is gone for the year and this team ain't what it was.
-We can beat La-Lafayette.
-The French Quarter
-Shrimp Po Boys
Mrydel is renting out Pat O'Briens for the Post game celebration.

This was my desire once we dropped from Liberty Bowl contention.

Rather play BYU or a Big 10 team than even having the possibility of getting humiliated by a sun belt team in the new orleans bowl like Rice did a few years back to Troy St.

Best team in Best Bowl availiable. Nobody WANTS to play the Sun Belt in the New Orleans Bowl-its a 6th Place Consolation/Participant Ribbon. Geez-I really get concerned with this attitude among SMU fans.

If our choices are Ford Stadium, the Cotton Bowl or New Orleans...then bring on the Etoufee!

sure, we all would, but is a 6-6 CUSA team going to even get a phone call for that one?

Still want the Hawaii Bowl provided gets bowl-eligible. Best trip for the players, best exposure and best game atmosphere. If not then the AFB, no trip but Ford will be filled. The NO Bowl will be played in an virtually empty Superdome versus some Sun Belt team on the first day of bowl season, not appealing at all.

Im saying redeem ourselves in AFB, and play a reputable opponent like BYU. If you get smoked or lose by a litte, nobody would be upset really. We will just make good enough excuses and move on, whereas if we get beat by a sunbelt team. We might as well rip up our big east invite, and just go to 1-AA football. I would love to go see New Orleans, but its just not worth it for such a lousy match up. I would rather play the worst in any AQ conference then the best in sunbelt. Two choices Im hoping for: Ticketcity, AFB

TicketCity vs. a Big 10 team. Great exposure for the program against an Iowa or Illinois or somebody like that.

Who cares if Line is out? Go play them.

it really is a great feeling that we now can debate things like which bowl we're going to. for a 3rd strait year. pretty awesome if you ask me.

Have you seen C-USAs bowl situation lately? There's a strong possibility there only might be 4 bowl-eligible teams and the ones left that can get bowl eligible are looking at finishing 6-6 at best.
