Now that SMU is out of the picture for the big bowls, is the Hawaii Bowl where you're shooting for? How many of you plan to make the trip to the islands to support this team? For all the venom spewed at JJ, he's notched SMU's most significant win (TCU) in recent memory. It might be good to see this class off in sunny Hawaii.

That said, I rather enjoyed our game this past Saturday. I'm looking forward to future matchups under the Big East banner.

Hawaii would be great, Arm Forces highly possible but don't count out a match up with NTSU in the R&L Carrier Bowl.

If you make the Armed Forces than I'll likely go to that. I haven't seen ACS since the new renovations and it'd be good to see the place spruced up for the bowl. You have a tough football team that slowed us down this weekend. I'm sure your bowl experience will be a successful one. I'm excited about the new conference. Hopefully we'll hear word soon! Good luck Ponies!

I dont' understand why UH isn't in the talks for the National Championship[s. Undefeated with a great QB. Should be in the conversation. Maybe not a shot at the National Championship but at least in the conversation.

Big game next week for UH. Hope UH does well and makes the national championship conversation interesting. And make CUSA/Big East proud.

no way. they finally played a team with a decent defense (that would be ours) and were held to their second fewest points all season (35 v. LaTech, 37 v. SMU, 38 v. UCLA).

they wouldn't stand a chance against a top 10 defense.

Not saying they get a shot. Just saying they have gone undefeated and are a top 10 team. They should at least get some mention in the NC discussions. IF LSU beats Arkyland, I really don't see a match up with Alabama to be that wonderful a game. We've seen that borefest already.

If you do not think they should get a shot, then why do you expect that others will think they should get a shot? Those NC discussions you refer to are people talking about who they think should get a shot.

We beat a better TCU team in 2005. We were their only loss that year, and they had already beaten Oklahoma in Norman. The win this year would be our second most significant in recent memory.

i think the 2005 win was considered a fluke rivalry win, not a true football 'meet on the gridiron' win.

Take a look at their computer ranking. All 6 computers have them ranked between 9 and 16.
Highest and lowest get dropped, so it is 10, 11, 12, and 15.
Their score is .560, only .010 higher than 7-3 Baylor, and 4 other 2-loss teams have a much higher score.

No, he should go and check out the game in fort worth. I just meant there wouldn't be many coog fans joining him. :)
