Looks like Baylor's second string QB is good too

Nick Florence looks like he could give us problems next year if Griffin goes pro. Looks like we are going to have it tough either way.

We only beat Rice by 3 points. Why would they want to punt us?

There had been some talk about Big 12 scheduling issues due to only 10 teams. I hope A&M buys us out.

86 you wear the fear mongering moniker very well. You always do that.
Hey, we should lose to Baylor. Your boy June already has us set up to be a flop next year anyway based on what he said from what mrydel posted. So just roll with it.

Maybe we could get him to transfer too!

I not fear just reality. I have been saying this for a while but nobody would believe me. I am not a pessimist nor an optimist, I am a realist. What is your assessment of the upcoming year?

Based on the way a real coaching staff would have a program trending upward in year five, it should be contending for a conference championship.
Anything less than a conference championship in year 5 is unacceptable.
And I mean it.

I know what you mean and agree. But as you mentioned not everyone on the staff has recruited well and we are going to see that and not just in 2012 but I believe it will carry to 2013 as well with those unreal OOC schedules and Big east conference schedule.
By the way Mitch, when you say in year 5 we should challenge for a conference championship do you mean a CUSA conference championship or a Big East conference championship? It makes a big difference.

I'm not aware of anything connected to the Big East. I haven't seen a Big East 2012 schedule so I wouldn't know anything about that. As far as I know SMU is still a member of CUSA.
Why are we struggling in recruiting?
Crappy work ethic?
Assuming every skill kid would run to us because we have a QB guru running this program?
More interested in looking at film in March than building relationships with kids and coaches in Texas?
When Los Angeles is a better base (and California does have a lot of great kids) than your home state, that sends up a lot of red flags to me.
Staff is too lazy. I have no idea what Wes Suan and Danny Morrison really do. Reinbold is too busy tweeting and in between hair bleaching while he's trying to recruit...
This staff is flash over substance.

Okay, I see what you are saying. In CUSA we should be that position had we recruited well.
