Not surprised by this move. Shouldn't this thread be renamed Coach JJ to UCLA?

New Black Unis and all the socal recruits Klemm and JJ can bring in.

The UCLA alums can easily create their own C of C to meet JJ's $$$ demands that the UC system lacks.

Yay!

I just love the New Secret Coach Thread!

I hear Joe Pa is looking for a new gig.

SMU and Joe Pa redefine the DP!

Los Angeles news media are offering up two names at the top of the list of candidates for the job:

Multiple sources close to the program have said that the school is ready to make a financial commitment to football, with Boise State head coach Chris Peterson and Houston head coach Kevin Sumlin atop a short list of desired candidates.

Peterson's name has come up every year for every AQ job for the last 4 or 5. Sumlin better strike while the iron is hot.

he'll have his pick of jobs.

So you are saying that Sumlin should strike while the iron is hot but June shouldn't?

ESPN insider

Expect the Bruins to seek a big name to replace Neuheisel. "Multiple sources close to the program have said that the school is ready to make a financial commitment to football," writes Jon Gold of the Los Angeles Daily News, "with Boise State head coach Chris Peterson and Houston head coach Kevin Sumlin atop a short list of desired candidates."

If that's true, UCLA is going to have to spend a lot of the money they made in the Pac-12's shiny new TV contract. According to Scott M. Reid of the Orange County Register, coaches like Peterson and June Jones of SMU make more money in their current jobs than Neuheisel made last year.

June with Klemm would make a lot of sense for UCLA, but I highly doubt he's one of their top candidates. I think they would only offer June if they swing and miss at some 'bigger' names first
