FRI AM...JUST NOTICED MY POSTS HAVE HAD THE WRONG DAY...RECRUITING SEASON IS A BLURR BUT I LOVE IT...QUICK STOP OFF TODAY BEFORE HEADING BACK TO DALLAS...THIS WEEKEND SHOULD CLEAR UP OUR BOWL DESTINATION...FOR MUSTANG NATION IT IS NOW THREE STRAIGHT BOWL APPEARANCES - SMU IS BACK...IN 4 SHORT YEARS JUNE JONES HAS ELEVATED EXPECTATIONS AND MOVED PLAYER COMMITMENTS FROM THEIR HEADS TO THEIR HEARTS!...PONY UP!

He is right. 3 straight bowls. And in four years. After back to back 1-11 seasons, who would have guessed? Recruiting is improving and so is our national exposure. Attendance has increased even with a crummy home schedule. Some students are actually attending the games and staying! The band has increased in size over tha last 4 seasons. SMU is back and not there yet. But is sure beats where we have been.

For those who easily forget, in the decade before June Jones got here, our record was:

34 wins
81 losses

That placed us at number 108 out of 119 college football teams. Below us were only the following schools:

UNLV
Kent
Vanderbilt
Utah State
Eastern Michigan
Baylor (that surprised me)
Temple
Army
Florida International
Buffalo
Duke

The good news is there were some below us.

Jeff -- the biggest way for you not to get yourself and the football program nailed by the NCAA for secondary violations is for you to do one of the follow:

1. Be really vague in your tweets.

2. Shut down your twitter account.

Please carefully consider doing this.

i have a feeling that June NEVER once looked at twitter, or tweeted. some GA probably did that.
