Fair question. Same could be said of Marshall-USM.

Both teams have 'couged it' this year, it just took Houston longer. This game should have been played between two top-15 teams at Reliant with the winner actually deserving to go to a BCS bowl.

Mental lapses ... lack of discipline and poise. When a superior talented team from top to bottom loses to a team(s) so terrible it's because lack of focus/discipline. A few times it can be some freak things (like half your team is injured/gets injured/a couple of tipped balls go the wrong way, etc) but generally speaking this team has the physical goods, just not the mental. If it had the mental capability to be a true champion it would a BCS buster.

The reason we lost to Navy and almost gave it away to Rice is that we are improving physically BUT still have mental lapses (I would also argue the same for the Tulsa loss although that team seemed to be a tad bit better than us physically but not by much - we just mailed it in mentally).
