Michigan hired a big name from outside the program. Ended up going back to Bo's boys and getting the unproven Brady Hoke. Keep Klemm, keep the players and get more of them. If you have a hot commodity already why search far and wide to find one? You either can coach or you can't, if there's one exceptionally well coached unit on the SMU squad and the D ain't bad, it's the offensive line.

SMUs program isn't strong enough right now to promote assistants. We would have to go out and get another big name if we had to replace Jones.

you make a good point. but it really depends on whether we could really get a big name. And whether Klemm is really a pied piper and good football coach. We have to roll the dice one way or another, on a re-tread or on a young guy. Dont think there is any such thing as us hiring a sure thing. Even places like Florida can't hire any such thing as a sure thing, ie Zook, Muscamp struggling.
