Bringing him in after the recruiting violations he has had going on at Ohio State would not be wise for our program IMO.

Tressel, the guy who got fired by ND before he made it to campus due to legal problems or Mike Leach.

Excellent coach and recruiter, but left his last 2 coaching posititons under moral, ethical and possible financial major issues. The man simply has no standards of honesty and intergity.

The perception is bad and whatever he did was bad enough for him to get terminated. It would not look good for a team that is just recovering from the DP hire a coach from a team that many believe should be put on the DP. Surely we can find an employed coach to hire. I have not heard Tressel's name come up in any other coaching searching so since some believe that we are a highly regarded place to coach we don''t need to hire a coach that no one else wants. Sure we can do better.

Hey, desperate programs sometimes do desperate things. WSU taking Leach with all of his ego and baggage is a risk, but their program has been dead for so many years that they have nothing to lose and maybe something to gain with him. I see the same thing for Tressel at some time in the future. Some historically doormat team in some hard to recruit area will take a chance and he will pay off for them. It is all about the $$$$ and who can turn around a program and most other things can be tolerated or over looked. Sad state of today's college sports.

What on earth are you talking about? Tressel never coached at ND. IIRC he was coach at a small school in Ohio prior to Ohio St.
