something went terribly wrong in the football team starting with the southern miss game. i was there sitting behind the bench and saw one of our players go out of control. we then got blown out by tulsa. no life at all against navy.

i don't know what happened to this team but something definitely went very wrong. we may never know. the team may know. for whatever reason june decided he had had enough.

i'm very glad june was here. more winning than we have seen in 25 years. we would not be in the big east without him.
so i wish him good luck.

While getting blown out in the Houston game, he had the same look on his face as he did in the interview before the Sugar Bowl.

Does this say more about there being a ceiling on this program? He realized since being here that there is a limit to what can be done? I'm not saying that is it, but it does signal a change in his message since he got here.

No...we havent gotten close to ceiling...

If you want to see the ceiling look to ft. worth...thats the ceiling...

More like SMU reached the ceiling on what June Jones can bring us.

I wonder if something happened between him and the admin/CofC that caused his change in attitide, preparation etc. It just seems so unlike JJ to act the way he has. He has really had an in your face attitude that was never shown previously. Like he wants to cause as much harm and pain as he can.

There is a ceiling on this program, but June wasn't the guy to get us there with his pathetic, sputtering offense. Gotta make the right hire, hope to see the CoC go big-game hunting for a legit coach.

I don't know whether Jones felt there was a ceiling, or that he simply wanted to move up to a PAC school, but anyone who bought into Jones' quasi-religious mumbo-jumbo message is gullible.

Maybe he struck out with all the SMU coeds he hit up? lol
