Say what you will about surfer dude, but his communications have been pro SMU and professional throughout this deal, unlike his boss.
I hope he stays and keeps pulling in recruits. He has won me over

Let me preface this by saying that I like Jeff and think he is a straight-up kind of guy. That FB post bugs me a little bit because recent reports prove it to be inaccurate since the only reason we have the "fortune" of Jones and Co. staying is because ASU yanked the offer. Otherwise, the whole crew is over at the UPS store getting boxes and packing tape. Glad it reassured some recruits and that he is still working to bring in more, but I am really wondering how the current players are going to take this sequence of events and how "fortunate" they are feeling right now.

Great post Ryan! You are spot on. They didn't choose to return to SMU, they were refused by Tempe, Arizona, and have no place to go ...at this time. Think the phones aren't buzzing between Dallas and Hawaii???
