I know I have been hating on JJ all day, but I am so pumped that this came in to make this an okay day. I wish this was on the front page of the DMN (bevo corp)

I am pumped for the BE. SO was extremely successful with this and deserves a great deal of respect.

Mediocre coach in a nothing conference - and willdly overpaid. If SMU takes him back, they are truly the "beaten wife" they have appeared to be as they have hailed Jones as a great coach with less than a .500 record in 4 years.

You hear all the time on Ponyfans.com -- he brought us back from the DP, taken us to three bowls in a row -- blah blah blah. Most every school goes to a bowl and it is lowered expectations that allows him to bully the administration into new lights, lower academic standards for footbal players, big $ for assistant coaches, and all while - being a very average coach. Orsini and JJ have, in the past 4 years, averaged less than 15,000 fans at Ford Stadium - pretty pathetic. Not exactly setting the DFW market on fire.

Finally, Dallas Morning News needs to hire Laken Litman - who was all over this story today. Kate H. is far too close to the SMU admin to be an effective reporter. She spent all day on the Big East pablum they were serving over at the Lloyd Center and doesn't appear to have any sense of how to get a story except what is fed to her by Orsini and his flunkees.

If Turner and Orsini welcome JJ back with open arms, I have donated my last dollar to SMU. If only SMU Football fans had as much sense as ASU boosters - who sniffed out JJ's and Leigh Steinberg and made it impossible for the incompetent AD to hire him.

Get someone at SMU who wants to be there. At $2.1 million per year, there are plenty of qualified candidates."
