from a guy who grew up around him: oak cliff, now around mid 70s,dad was big time high school coach in sherman ,married oil money,built homes around dallas,then on to arizona where his company grew ....his father in law was a big time ou supporter....golf and asu....there is one other smu grad and asu supporter that was apparently involved ,also...

Wish he would help us more...Im sure he prob does some...but Circle of Champions will always take new members..

It still blows my mind that not only are wealth SMU alums not supporting SMU, but they are in fact supporting other schools. And further more their "new" school is F**king with SMU on top of that. I realy truely do not understand how you can do this.

One word: money. These guys live, work, and conduct business in AZ, not Dallas. I'm sure we have local Dallas businessmen who have zero ties to SMU that support our school and our programs to help build their reputation in Dallas.

Happens all the time. But sure, I wish they'd pony up a little bit more for their alma mater.
