So does this whole episode help June get his list of demands?
IPF, admisions, budget, athlete friendly courses/majors, etc

All were in final stages prior to the ASU fiasco

JUNE's demands?
It goes the other way, this time --- or he goes.

It's not like firing him is a threat. He would just get 6 million and chill in Hawaii. We still can't force him to do anything really.

his list is what we should want regardless. Lets not be stupid. That is what anyone in the job needs so we need that and can deal with coach issues separately

I suspect that packing Ford this year is going to be even more challenging after his fiasco and blatant arrogance. I don't blame any fan for not returning until he is gone. I feel for the players as they get hurt more than he does. Seems like Mustang Mania in reverse. Only positive might be if we are practically undefeated about 3/4 through the season.

maybe enough of SMU's football following will protest by throwing their support to bball and we can actually put a respectable crowd into Moody. That would certainly help future bball recruiting

I'm sure they will- after we get a decent bball coach. IMO- Doh is on the hot seat- needs to go.

I would imagine (to my chagrin) that most SMU fans really don't know what the hell is going on - just like most don't make any effort to show up at games, or leave the Blvd. As a result, they may or may not show up next year. Since we have TCU, A&M, and Houston coming, well, we'll at least sell some tickets.
But as far as June's demands go, most of them, such as the IPF, bigger budget, etc., need to happen anyway. June would just be smart to keep his head down and let those things take their course.

red you might want to go to a game before you say that. BBall is closer to top 20 then football right now.

given the timing and circumstances of all of this (rather than the simple fact that he interviewed for a job), I'd suggest the only thing this whole episode should help him get is a large welt on his left cheek from where a few of the CoC members pimp slap him.

Do y'all not understand these "demands" are things we should have had 10 yrs ago? [deleted] "good academic standing", give me w's. Lower academic standards so we can f'n compete. What do y'all not get about that?

We don't need to lower our standards. We need to improve the support we offer our student-athletes to -- AT THE VERY MINIMUM -- be competitive with the support systems in place at places like TCU.
Top 25 in everything we do right? That commitment needs to be across the board.
