Big East is the last major conference that doesn't have long term contract

ESPN has been hating on the Big East past few months, so it's already happening.
Getting a deal w/NBC would be good exposure, especially if the contract gets you onto NBC broadcast stations, not just Versus/NBC Sports cable channel.
Fox has done a great job w/the CUSA and Pac12 packages this year. I think NBC would treat a new Big East well, too.

The Big East's relationship with Notre Dame will certainly help them in garnering a television package from NBC.

Has Keith Olbermann been officially banned from NBC Sports yet? I don't think I can take it if he is on an SMU broadcast.

Actually, I would love. It would serve as a punishment and a great twist of irony. He's such a extreme cook job liberal, he took a shot at W every chance he could get.

Now, he would call a game with a program where W's library is being built. It would be a riot watching him call/commentate on a game and fight the urge to go after Bush again when the broadcast would be a football game.

He who laughs last Olbermann...

Actually, I don't think he works for NBC anymore.

Ugh I hate NBC, mainly because of MSNBC, but its kind of a toss up. I was really hoping that Fox Sports would do it again. I just wish they put some money into it and dress up the game show and all that.

Moderators, its so hard to not say every cuss word in the book about Keith Olberman... but ill hold my tongue.

I dont want this guy to be anywhere on the screen, it would just hurt any ratings and I would pity anybody who has to watch the game. The guys is a.... I always hoped that somehow he and db rachael maddows would get framed for murder and get butt raped in their selective prisons, even though the both probably enjoy it. Im rooting for Fox all the way. I remember watching the dvr of the show when we played USM and Tulsa, and they were always commenting: how unusual that SMU isnt playing better, they must just be off. They made so many excuse for us rather than when we get broadcasted on CBS (for instance) they will say everything good for us was lucky, or ref driven, etc and everything bad its just normal.

Everyone calm the f down. I'm pretty sure Olbermann got fired at MSNBC and is now working for Al Gore's network, where they smoke things we've never heard of, eat organic food, and think Obama is a conservative. Seriously though, I don't think he'll be broadcasting an SMU game anytime soon.

Someone needs to compete with ESPN though- I'm getting sick and [deleted] tired of them reporting [deleted] tweets on Sportscenter 24/7. One Thursday night they were showing Pitt-USF highlights, and the Pitt RB was having a big game, and they interrupted the segment to show LeBron's tweet prasing the Pitt RB. I almost went into a coma I was so pissed off.

I know it just makes me feel better to insult that db. When MSNBC fires you, I think its mandatory to go to mental institution. I agree, we need the competition, and the only one really stepping up is Fox. I really hope they become #1 and ESPN is last. Fox Sports and all other competitors need a dedicated channel to have sport talk show segments.
