How come the perception of Sumlin went from top coaching prospect before the Houston loss to USM to meh afterward. I guess one game can do that. :?:

Because they looked AWFUL in that game and it is the only game most people have ever seen him coach. Confrimed in most people's minds what they already suspected, Houston's success was a product of their schedule.

not much of a splash into the BE for UCF, Houston, or SMU w/ coaching issues.

Delaney and Neinas running around saying they want to strip the AQ status from the BCS isn't helping matters either.

Sumlin is a great coach and I think, regardless of what he says, all the talk of a coaching change at Houston was a hugh disruption for his team before the Houston v USM game. That said, I am looking forward to playing aTm at home as our first game next year, and it will even help SMU sell season tickets. However, Sumlin will be out to prove aTm made a good choice and with us breaking in a new QB and OL, it could be even more of a blow out than last year's aTm v SMU game.

Well our only challenge in the west is gone, should be able to go to a championship next season. Hopefully a rematch against UCF.

Only challenge huh. From what I remember some other Western team whipped your [deleted] this year. I like how you've pencilled a 5-7 UCF team in as the East Champs.

Please tell me how you will be better than a Tulsa next year. Who's the QB gonna be next year again?

This should be good.

I knew you would respond to that. I was about to post something and I saw your comment, so I figure why not. Obviously Tulsa will be the only challenge in the west division. The east division will be a big fight between ECU, USM, UCF (which I think they just had a slump like us). The thing is SMU was playing with 10 people on offense and you guys had 12 on defense (McDermott). Once GG or KP is on the field it should be a 10 point game favoring us.
