The last week or so has made me completely nauseated with smu football.

Our coach bails, in a d!ckhead way, then comes back and pretends nothing happened

The only coach that recruits is almost certainly leaving

And honestly this printz thing is just the biggest kick in the nuts I can imagine. I could have stomached it- and wouldn't have even been surprised- had things fallen through and he went elsewhere but no, printz' dad has to CONSTANTLY tell us how sold be is on smu. Armen constantly tells us he is the most committed recruit of any recruit in the history of recruiting. What a slap in the face.

Sorry for the long, Mitch-like whining thread. I'll probably delete it tomorrow but just needed to vent. Goodnight pony fans. Please let us get good news soon.

Printz is a high school kid..relax.

This does not mean Printz is not coming to SMU. He is just re opening his options but if his dad read some of the negative comments we are making about him it certainly does not help. Granted, most comments are not towards his dad but it does not help as we have to continue to recruit Eddie.

Guys, I was all a rage until someone much wiser than me said: Per NCAA rules, coaches are NOT ALLOWED to call or return calls to juniors until April 15th of the junior year. It would against NCAA rules to respond. Again, someone wiser than me informed me of this.

As a SMU fan, my next comment may not be very popular. Printz was stupid to commit this early. He isn't even a senior. Earliest he should have made a commitment would be August 2012. Give it a summer to see if your stock rises through camps and other opportunities. Anybody should weigh all options before making such an important decision. This does not surprise me at all, especially with all the "June Jones" uncertainty going on. I hope he recommits to SMU and it would be in June's best interest to make this happen (his mess to clean up).

It is never "stupid" to commit to SMU whenever . But I am like you in that I hope he recommits to SMU. Come to The Hilltop Mr Printz.

Everyone including them already knew his stock was sky high when he committed.

No UGA offer. If I might be the best QB in my state and I'm a junior. I wait to see if the flagship school in my state offers me. (Note: Texas is different due to how many top programs recruit
here. A lot of great players never saw that Texas offer.) I want Printz to come and I remember in the article, the reason he committed this early was to help build a strong recruiting class. I do respect that and the reason he decommitted was the [deleted] June created with the ASU stunt. I guarantee you he is keeping his options open, because College Football changes fast. Who knows what will happen in 6 months from now.

Actually, if you know where you want to go, committing early is pretty smart. 1) it givesnyounsome measure of piece and quiet from all the people that are harassing you about coming to their institution, and 2) it maximizes your ability tomrecruitmmore top flight talent to the schoolmyou're going for.

I almost hate to make the comparison, but I believe part of the reason that Bennett did so well with his "best" class was because Ricky Joe Meeks committed early and pulled several good recruits in on his coattails.
