The real story is UCLA ran out of cash after paying Neuheisel's buyout.

I guess UCLA will have to borrow money to pay for the upcoming buyout of Ben Howland

Players are denied promised and needed for most financial assistants because they chose finals over a "voluntary" workout?
Message sent: forget finals, academics, or earning a real degree, you work for us 24/7 or we will starve you. You are an athlete first, and a student at your own leisure.
Can we just drop the student part of student-athlete and end the charade?

I love the "Fight Hunger Bowl" aspect-unfortunately 94 "failed to deliver" with witty headline.
