Will you be attending the bowl game? If not, it would be great to hear why.

I will be there. And if I look around and see nothing but older smu fans, I will have given up on our students ever going to games. This is an easy bowl to attend, against a big time BCS team. People complained about going to Hawaii. They complained about staying in Dallas. People complained about playing Nevada and Army.

There are no excuses this time. If I don't see any students at the bowl game, I think we will be limited forever to home crowds of 15k, with half leaving before the 3rd quarter.

No excuses. Hell, if you are a current student, I bet any pf.com poster will buy your ticket if you convince 3 friends to come with you. I'd do that for a few students.

Would be a fun trip - does this conflict with Greek week Rush? I have no idea - take rushes to the game on a BUS

we had no football, so I'd be all over the weekend and have a good time. They don't realize how lucky they are to be in a bowl.

In that case Wtf students ?

we regularly have 1000 - 1500 students (section and a half). That is 25% of our undergrad population - a higher percentage then just about anywhere in Texas except maybe A&M.

The issue is not that our attendence rate is poor. Its that we are small. We need to have a big time marketing push EVERY YEAR to make up for that.

You'd be surprise by the number of guys who read it in class.

I am a student and I will be honest, I have heard zero talk from any students about going to the game. I think it is so close to rush it makes things hard.

I want to go, but I don't know if the logistics of it would work. Game is on a Saturday, fly back to Colorado Sunday, leave Colorado for Monday. A lot of travel and not cheap by any means!
