NO!! I'm sure UH is crushed by this news. It's like the A&M UT rivalry dying all over again.

Sounds like Rice is butthurt
Re: Rice casts doubt on Bayou Bucket game's future
there's a lot of CUSA butthurt going on right now. not only do a bunch of schools feel left behind, the conference lost it's biggest 3 TV markets. that will hurt their revenue stream.
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally

CUSA still has Houston (Rice) and will keep DFW (UNT)

Rice will hold up the Houston market for CUSA.
I'm surprised their 31 fans even noticed that UH bolted.

Rice and Tulane are the only teams we can talk smack with attendance wise

I heard that SMU ceded alll NTSU blackball authority in C-USA over to Rice. Whether they will use it is another question.

Wonder what they will have to say about the Mayor's Cup.

Hopefully it will die. We need to play nonconference opponents that will help attract attendance - which Rice does not.

Do not mind leaving Rice behind on the field.
But convenience wise, it's probably one of my favorite away games. Strong turnout from Houston-area alums and Rice is in a nice part of the city.
