BBVA Compass, together with the BIG EAST Conference and Conference USA, is honoring first responders to last spring’s tornadoes with complimentary tickets to the sixth annual BBVA Compass Bowl on Jan. 7, 2012.
In appreciation of those who helped the state through the April 27 storms, members of all branches of the military, along with members of fire, police and rescue squads, will receive up to four complimentary tickets to the game featuring Pitt vs. SMU.
"BBVA Compass values teamwork and effort, on the field and in the workplace," said Alan Register, BBVA Compass Birmingham city president. "The first responders epitomize both, and we could not have overcome this disaster without them. BBVA Compass is privileged to join the BIG EAST and Conference USA in honoring them."
The BBVA Compass Bowl has honored the nation’s military and veterans by distributing thousands of complimentary tickets since its inception in 2006. Due to the April 27 storms, Bowl officials are extending its policy by providing complimentary tickets to first responders as well.
