Tired of the complaining about IPF.
JJ has to have it his way or the highway (pun intended) so that's why shovels haven't hit the ground yet.

Tell him to butt a stump and move it to where the school wants it. He wants to screw the soccer teams

I know. The few people I've told that to have been disappointed to hear that.

The soccer teams need to get screwed. Neither has done anything major in the last 3-5 years. Especially the 'girlies' team. Used to be that the men's team was always top 10-15 and in the 'big dance. Now we are lucky if we get to the CUSA playoffs. Yea, I know- we lost to the Zips in the second round after being given a pass on the first round.

No, the AD needs to get the girls soccer team a REAL coach. I don't like him and have only been to a couple of games since he took over and I won't be at any more until we have a coach who is capable of returning our program to the dominating one it used to be. He stinks!

Soccermom- totally agree. I just didn't care to be that specific. Every time I have commented on needing a decent coach over the last few years I have gotten trashed by those who think our coaches are top level national championship coaches. Results speak for themselves.

SMU men's soccer has under-achieved given it's talent for 15+ years. Can a program have a bigger recruiting advantage!?! It's the ONLY Div.1 soccer program in TEXAS. In DALLAS. That'd be like UT existing without having to compete with OU, A&M, or Tech and still going 7-6 every year, despite having an entire roster made up of the creme de la creme athletes in the State. Granted, the best of the best soccer are turning pro early and skipping college ball but SMU has its pick of everyone else. Ridiculous.

When I was in school, I plaid on the SMU Club team and the women's coach (a man) tried to recruit a few of us to join them in training--the idea, I guess, was that having men in the scrimmages would up the intensity and physicality. Of course, that is ridiculous because a) the women already played hard and frankly were in better shape and b) the woman's game is COMPLETELY different than the men's. Forcing them to react to us didn't teach them anything. I declined the offer but a couple guys went. When a D.1 coach resorts to measures like that, I knew he couldn't coach a lick.

I remember hearing about Pat Summit having her team at Tennessee scrimmage against male students. I do not follow women's basketball at all, but I am pretty sure she can coach a lick. I know nothing about the SMU soccer coach you are referring to, but I do not think him wanting his players to scrimmage against guys is damning in and of itself.
