refers to SMU opening and quotes Phillips on Levine's appointment as Head Coach but no definite conclusion. Note it says he is exploring a number of options-kind of worried about because there are a lot of staffs that could use his recruiting success in Greater Houston plus his success in the UH Offense

Get your guns up in Aggieland as Kliff Kingsbury joins Kevin Sumlin at Texas A&M.

Will be weird seeing A&M as a pass based offense

They wont be nearly as much of a pass offense as they have been if they want to survive the SEC guantlet. It doesn't work on dominant defenses (see June vs Georgia).

Yes, but the only thing they won't be able to pass is a field of sheep.

Say, what exactly works on dominant defenses? The reason they are dominant is that
any offense doesn't work on them. And what had more to do with that Sugar Bowl loss: the run and shoot vs. a 'dominant defense' or the major talent disparity between the two teams?

Arguing passing doesn't work against top D's is one thing, but I'm so tired of this stupid June vs Georgia argument.
Do you really think Hawaii, with the talent they had, or equivalent "run based" talent, would be able to do anything to Georgia? Their O-line couldn't give Brennan 2 seconds to throw the ball. Do you really think they could have opened holes to run through?

BTW there was a prior Chronicle blog post that actually did quote Phillips directly:
Kingsbury may not be the only staff member that new head coach Tony Levine will have to replace. UH co-offensive coordinator and receivers coach Jason Phillips may also have a new home soon. He told the Chronicle on Monday that he is "exploring a number of options."
