That's pretty sweet. Can we get some of UT's receivers, too?
How many years will he have left at SMU?

I didn't realize how strong of an arm he has. Exciting stuff.

I'm excited to have him. Hopefully he gets that medical redshirt so we can have him a full two years (I pretty much expect him to win the QB job)

Either one is fine, but I hope KP can have a year to redeem and excel

Fabulous highlights! Especially impressed with his arm and ability to run.
Would be interesting to see his lowlights reels. Question now will be how quickly he can assimilate the offense.

Padron will start the opener (will win it in practice based on having a better understanding of the offense) but will be on a short leash, Gilbert will end up seizing the job by the A&M game.

suffice it to say it would be a good thing for next year's offense if we have 2 QBs with D-1 game experience

I don't think he was developed well at UT.
Thrown to the wolves against Alabama in the title game with very little practice.
After that, he folded under the weight of a demanding fanbase and underacheiving team.
Curious to see what a fresh start will do...

I vote for Kyle Padron, but if he got hurt, this guy would be a more than adequate replacement.

KP is going to have to work real hard to beat out GG. I know KP understands the offense better, but with the mobility, arm strength and field vision of GG, KP is going to have a tough time winning the job.
I am so glad to have 2 really talented QB's in 2012.
