Apparently it's happening more at SMU than anywhere else this year.

I really do hope I'm wrong but we're becoming the standard for the de-committing process and JJ is the poster child of how to implement it.

well, i can tell you one of the reasons is because you let your best recruiter go to UCLA and you let your coach almost go to ASU in a high-profile debacle.

I just hope we keep our 2nd best recruiter, Jeff Reinebold. That way next year JP can possibly neutralize the loss of Klemm.

several people have been hinting on here for the last week or so that he's already gone. no one will say whether this is what they meant or not, so it appears to be somewhat of a mystery. all i know is that he hasn't been posting on facebook like always has.
i'd hate to lose Reinebold.

If he is our #2 recruiter and we still have all Bennett recruits starting on offense after 4 years outside of DJ, a transfer QB and a converted lb then what does that say about that recruiter? Decommits are a necesary evil due to the stupid ncaa guidelines. A coach can leave on a whim but a player has stringent transfer guidelines unless he has graduated. Too one rarely reads about the coach going back to the committ and pulling the offer or asking the guy to greyshirt. The more stable the situation with head coach and QUALITY assistants who have the players respect and who treat the 105th player with the same respect as the 1st along with success/fan support +fewer decommitts and better recruiting classes. Doesn't hurt to have a good relationship with the best high school coaches in the nation....TEXAS not louisiana or california.
