For the third year in a row, an SMU Mustang will be playing in the Super Bowl. This year, it's cornerback Sterling Moore, who went from undrafted underdog to playoff hero for the New England Patriots after he made two game-saving plays to help preserve the Patriots' 23-20 win over the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship game.
Moore visited with PonyFans.com to reflect on his still-young football career and unorthodox route to SMU and eventually to the National Football League's biggest game.
Enjoy!

Re: STERLING MOORE: One Moore game to go
The defining moment of your football career. I am sure you realize you have more on the line than anyone else on the field. As I see your challenge, it is the biggest of any one individual in a team sport I recall, bigger than the game itself. That being said I believe you are qualified and ready for the challenge. I am sure you will do well, but I hope you play a great game.
