I have a friend on June and SO's flight to Houston right now that says they won't let June board the plane. He doesn't know why but said that June looks P1$$ed!

If this is true and I have some doubt although it could be a SMU/travel agency ticketing issue, I do not understand why the situation is funny or worthy of a post.

I'd kinda like to know if it's true since I'm about to leave for the Hilton in a few minutes...

Guys, like it or not, June Jones is our coach. Hoping he has problems means hoping SMU has problems. You grip because you don't think he travels enough and when he has problems traveling you laugh at it. No matter what he does, in your book, it is wrong. You want him to recruit Texas - he does and you don't like his recruits. That means you don't like SMU's recruits. GET OVER IT. JONES IS SMU's coach - perhaps for quite a few years. I wish him GREAT success as long as he is on the Hilltop.

Guys, give it up. Get over it. It really is time, now, to move on.

A lot of people have given literally years of their lives to this rebuilding effort, and no one needs for you to erode SMU's progress by continuing to flog our coach. Do you really think Oregon fans are doing this to Chip Kelly? Do you really think this is helping anything?

Seriously, let it go...you've made your point. Do we need to improve in certain areas? Of course. Will changes be made? Surely. So stop with the circular firing squad.

The meeting was great and June said the attendance was the best since his arrival. Yes, Jason P was there and introduced along with Suan and Odum. Cool to see Jerry Levias and our lone Houston media SMU supporter Kenny Hand as well. June repeated many of the same antidotes about the recruits as at the press conference and the Dallas event. Mentioned some walk on kickers he was happy about and the story that he texted Belichick which got Sterling tied in with the Pats after he was cut by Oakland. I left feeling pretty upbeat.

People tend to give you a break when you run one of the most potent offenses in the country, win 85 percent of your games and bring in top 20 classes every year.
