Per Laken's tweet:

#SMU WR coach Jeff Reinebold has taken a coaching job w/ the Montreal Alouettes, a CFL team, per a source (and Jeff's Facebook).

He's spent a good amount of time in Canada in his career. Though far from Montreal, his son still considers Vancouver home.

Isn't an alouette a little bird, like the children's song? Odd choice for mascot!

Congratulations Jeff... Loyalty to June Jones is paying a big dividend to you. SMU will be fine and a great network will be established to benefit SMU players who need an advantage that the CFL has to offer. I hope you take Colt Brennan up there and kick off a great season.

Yes, because I'm sure that Jeff's 7 previous years in the CFL (including 2 years as head coach) and all the contacts that he maintained over the years had
zero influence on him getting this opportunity. In the end, all it took a June Jones phone call to recommend him. Jeebus.

Who said anything about a phone call from June?

The implication was that June or association with June had something to do with Jeff getting the job...not his near decade worth of CFL experience, contacts and previous position as HC in the CFL. I think that is a total misapplication of credit, at least in this case. June probably didn't make any phone calls, I was just pointing out how ridiculous it was to credit the fruits of Jeff's hard work almost completely to June, as if he needed a phone call or he wouldn't have gotten it by himself. Like he had to beg for a recommendation from June who benevolently bestowed it.
