Beachum and LeReibus got invited to the combine. Really surprised to see Taylor Thompson was not invited.

me too...uninspiring senior season?...TT has great measurables and should have an impressive highlight reel...when is the "last call" for combine invites?

Here is the official invite list- not sure when "last call" is though.

Stunning that Thompson isn't invited. He is a workout warrior and could really help himself with a good combine. There aren't many 6-6 290 defensive ends in college.

I also noticed from that last that we have 2 guys headed to the combine and TCU has one. Ha!

With Thompson it could be a case of 3-4 DE's not getting the flashy numbers that their 4-3 brethren do. I would expect the combine to have considered that though.

Yes this is strange. That guy is a prototype DE/TE. I would be surprised if he doesn't end up on someones practice squad at least...

i've posted this somewhere, but maybe not here.
this year, the combine is structured differently.
they will have the normal combine in Indy, as they always have, with a similar number of invitees.
also, this year they will be implementing regional combines in about 8 places across the nation. i believe our region's will be in Houston. these are meant to offer more visibility for recruits above and beyond traditional pro days at schools. there will also be a super-regional combine for the highest ranked performers at the regional combines which will also be held in Indy (i think).
anyway, there is still a chance for TT (and others, like Crawford, frazier, etc.) to make it to Indy if he performs well at the Houston combine.

Prediction: Taylor Thompson will eat souls at the regional combine. I think the guy's going to be an NFL beast.

LeReibus will be our top draft pick. TT will go on second day as well.
Crawford will get drafted late.

Thompson's draft stock plummeted (from what I hear) due to his hot/cold effort throughout his career. No one is denying his measurables or talent, just his consistency and/or having the requisite attitude to play DE in the NFL.
One recent rumor I've heard is that teams are looking at him as a TE prospect.

You think Frazier has shot?? Don't get me wrong I'd love to see him get his chance. However, that's one guy that I just don't see in the NFL. Just my opinion. He's a good sized DT in a 4-3 defense, but the dude just never wowed me at all. I dunno maybe I'm just soured a bit by the fact that he constantly was on his [deleted] missing plays during games because of an "injury".
