Seriously, if they are so ants-in-the-pants about this, double the early exit fee and make them pay the exit fee of their early replacement school.

This may trigger a cascade effect for next year, we'll see. What the NCAA ought to do, is just declare next year the year of crazy schedules and let all the schools go ahead and move now as long as they settle up with their existing conference.

WV has already paid a $5M exit fee and as I understand it, will pay another $11M settlement fee. The big whatever will pay an additional $9m as part of the settlement. So it should total $25M to the Big East.
