I hadn't really thought about it-but the SMU Baylor game next year is slated to feature the debut of both Lace Seastrunk at Baylor and Gilbert at SMU.

Seastrunk is a cheating, no class punk. I will be rooting against him in every way possible.

Man I hope we win that game. I also hope there are no hiccups with Gilbert coming in here and starting for us next season. Its a little unsettling to not know for certain at this point who will be taking snaps for us next season. If its not Gilbert for some reason, then its going to be someone who is VERY green.

They're gonna be real tough to beat. We get them at a good time though first game of the season. Really hope Gilbert can find himself here at SMU.

I'm most worried about the Baylor D.

Speaking of Gilbert, how many of you think he will start here and do well, or maybe he will be just more of the same as he was at Texas ? Great opportunity here for Gilbert. That is for sure.

with Padron leaving, Gilbert will start. Let's hope he stays healthy and does well so SMU football can maintain some positive momentum. The backups need time to mature

According to my Baylor buddies, he is a little off his rocker. He is the type of personality that eventually self destructs. For his sake, hope it does not happen.

Seastrunk played very well when called upon to replace RG3 against Tech.
Finished off with about 68 points, if I remember...
Last SMU-Baylor game I attended at Floyd-Casey was maybe 1984??
Big 4th quarter comeback. Typical Floyd-Casey, there was some nasty weather.
I
think Don King hit Ron Morris on a Z pattern on the sideline, into the wind, to win it...
Lotsa disgusted SMU fans trickled back into the stadium from listening in the parking lot

.

SMU scored about 20 points in final what-6 minutes or so. SMU/Baylor series is the greatest in my lifetime. SMU/Baylor have played 8 games as good or better than the TCU game in Ft Worth last year. This will be a very interesting Roadtrip. We have had ready made excuses in College Station ad Ft. Worth because of very small ticket alottments. Will SMU travel well to a season opening road game against a historic rivals 100 miles down the road. Big 12. There will be enough tickets-so no excuses. We need to take 5,000-TCU and Baylor would take much more. Its just down the road

Your memory is good. The wind was blowing a hard rain at gale force into King's face. But he could throw on a frozen rope and it was a great comeback. I remember my umbrella literally blew out of my hands and over the wall of Floyd Casey stadium a few moments before he threw that touchdown. That game was on television and achieved big ratings in Dallas because the weather was so miserable that it kept people indoors that day. Many of my non-SMU friends mentioned how exciting the game was to me when I got back to work on Monday. Another reason we should schedule as many BCS Texas schools as possible whenever possible.

Seastrunk is a running back, you have him confused with the backup quarterback.

I guess Nick Florence is the leading candidate for starting qb?
