As fun as it is to laugh at UNT's comedy of errors, they just can't ever seen to catch a break. Hopefully he will be fine, but I don't think even in the best case scenario he's up for coaching a team next season.

Fact is Dan Mc Carney is a darn good football coach who did a great job at Iowa State for years. I thought North Texas had made an excellent choice when they hired him.I hope and pray for a complete recovery.

Hate to see that happen. While I tease UNT folks, I would not wish any ill on anyone. My prayers are with he and his family. The good news is that strokes if caught are no longer the incapacitation sentence they once were.

ESPN said they have heard that he is expected to fully recover. Wish him that full recovery.

Great news. I have been really impressed with coach Dan and what he is doing at UNT.

A lot of people don't want UNT to succeed in football, but I am just the opposite. If SMU, TCU and UNT can build and keep competitive programs, it will make for interesting OOC games in the future with short travel and good attendance. That can only help.

I would love to see an OOC of TCU, Baylor, UNT and an SFA, Sam Houston or Arky State type for a tune up game.
