Anyone hearing anything about starting Baseball/Softball teams for the Big East for 2013? I realize there's no room for a field, but are there other options. What about Men's track/field? I'd rather baseball myself.

Mens track&field will return. Title IX will also call for a women's sport which will be softball. I know where they are going to play but since the deal with the city is still being negotiated I will refrain from disclosing.

I think LAX would be good. What size field do they use? Soccer field or smaller?

Ok. You guys can go on with your wish lists. I just told you what is actually happening. Not speculation. The wheels are already in motion on these two. That's not to say that we wont add more in the future, but those are first

We already have world class track coaches so men's track should be a no brainer. Women's softball is the logical choice and that side of the house.

Dave Wollman will have us back in the top 25 within 4 years if not the first or second year of resuscitating the program.

So we still have the coaches in place even without a track team? How does that work?

They are currently coaching women's track and field only since we don't have men's.
