Not really what, if any, impact this has on the future of the new Big East. I know a lot of Big East folks were riled up over how BYU acted late in the process of Big East expansion. However, probably a huge win for the Big 12 if it can get BYU to play ball.

Anything that keeps Bevo's eyes away from Louisville or Cincinnati is a good thing for the Big East IMO.

If BYU is accepted, then Louisville will be #12. This is bad news for the Big East.

Pitino wanted Memphis and got them into BE. He now wants Temple. Will this actually help keep the UoL Cardinals in the BE?
