I am trying to find a link but Houston fans are claiming that our game against them is being moved to Thursday night.

Great ---now I can attend my daughter's wedding on Saturday, Oct. 20. Up till now it was a toss up with the game!

Marketed correctly it could be our 3rd best-attended game of the year. TCU-SMU was packed on a Friday night 2 years ago.

I love it, personally...I generally prefer Saturday games, of course, but honestly leaving the office at 2, getting to the Boulevard and hanging out until kickoff sounds pretty great. I think we're more likely to pull in the unaffiliated "Dallas" crowd for the occasional weekday game than we are for a Saturday game with 10 other games people would rather watch on TV, kids sports, etc.

I guess this is going to be televised nationally on the Fox Sports regional networks? (FS Southwest, etc) Or is this being moved for CBS College Sports. If so, that's silly because no one has that channel.

It may be our 3rd best attended game of the year but it'll be significantly less attended than the TCU or A&M games. I'm think 23K announced attendance (if both teams enter the game with decent records), butts in seats will obviously be way less and a lot fans will bail after halftime.

UH usually brings a very nice crowd but I expect a lot less for a Thursday night game.

I love it! It's tough to bring the whole family with young kids but either we make an exception or I go it alone and have a great start to the weekend. With Jason Phillips on staff, this is going to be a particularly tough game for the Coogs.

I hope the game is FSSW or an ESPN affiliate rather than CBS College Sports.

This is a chance for SMU to have a home field advantage by default since I would think Houston would have few travelling on a Thursday night. Should market to the Dallas area and fill the stands with giveaways....Mustang Mania 2. Not competing with Friday night lights, only jv and fr games. Let the students reclaim the blvd for once.

Nice to pay the big bucks for season tickets only to have one big game moved where I can't make it.

There, the sour grapes are out. I really wish I could be there but Thursdays are just a tad much for the Arkyland express.
