Beachum to Steelers!

SMU offensive tackle Kelvin Beachum, Jr., just got taken in the seventh round as a guard by the Pittsburgh Steelers, where he'll re-join former SMU teammate Emmanuel Sanders.

Looks like a lot of our guys are teaming up. LeRibeus, Crawford and Robinson with the Redskins and Beachum and Sanders with the Steelers. Could have our 4th straight Mustang in a Super Bowl.

Congratulations to Beach and the rest of the Ponies!

I can't help but think where this program has been over the last couple of decades, and to see three straight bowls and now four guys drafted, plus Beasley signing with Dallas ... how long until two-a-days?

Huge statement by the NFL scouts and coaches and their respect for what our coaching staff is building. The results of this draft will inspire our team this year and push them to a much higher level. I am very Proud of all those young men and their accomplishments as well as the program and I personally feel great when I call the Mustangs my team.

i guess this will also complete my transition to a non-cowboy fan. That i now have to actually like the steelers AND redskins is a cruel irony
