As I understand it you have Preston, Kaiser, Kristich, and eventually Gilbert competing for the job. Those of you who saw practices:
1- Who figures to be starting in Waco?
2- How would you rank them in the following:
a- Arm strength
b- accuracy
c- mobility
d- decision making
3- How do they compare against Padron or McDermott?

I agree with LAX. Gilbert should start. Hard to distinguish between the other three at Scrimmage. However, June seems to like Preston best which goes a long way. But superior to Padron/McDermott, hard to say without some big uglies bearing down on them. They did seem to have better mobility than either KP or JJ. Prediction: we can beat Baylor if Gilbert is good enough to win the Starting QB, otherwise, maybe not.

You think June prefers Preston? I'd say Kaiser, not only because of the bowl game time but also because both this and last Spring Kaiser seemed to take reps first and for the most time. I didn't see Preston much in the final Spring practice but what I did see we're wobbly, short passes that hit receivers well below their pads. Kaiser had the stronger arm and is the most built but overthrew anyone beyond 15 yards. Kristich displayed a strong (not gun-slinger) arm, excellent pass placement and decent mobility, although he is very skinny. He is also the tallest. This is Gilbert's job to take but I think backup position goes to Kaiser or the walk-on. I'd throw Kristich and Preston in a gym all Summer.

I think the bowl game time had more to do with not burning Preston's red shirt than any pecking order.
I do however think Kaiser is the better option at this point as the primary backup.

Renewed season tickets based on Gilbert being the starter.
He better rock those 27 hours.

How about we just get one single QB on campus that can run the offense. It's only been five recruiting cycles.

In an interview June said that Preston had made the most improvement which leads me to believe he has the upperhand right now. None of the three amigos looked that impressive at the Spring Scrimmage, which is not to say they won't be under fire.
