Okay, first question. Would we rather be in the ACC (without FSU/Clemson) than the Big East? Duke, GT, WF, MD, UVA, ,VT, U, Syr., Pitt, BC, UNC, NCS, or
Boise, Navy, SDS, UH, Louisville, Mem, Cincy, Rutgers, Temple?

This sounds completely ridiculous. But I thought WVU going to the Big 12 was ridiculous also. Maybe multiple time zone superconferences are the model for the future.

I'm with Eastang. We could do work in that ACC. We also have the academic profile and demographic they would seek.

Scary for us...we would not be on the list to go to the ACC, but UConn, Louisville, Cincy, South Florida, and/or Rutgers probably would be.
This would officially create CUSA 2.0

I would not count us out so easily.
None of those schools could have accomplished what we have over the past few weeks.
Plus when you compare our facilities, academics and TV market, we come out on top IMO.
If the ACC wants a footprint in Texas, SMU and UH makes perfect sense.
If the SEC wants a true footprint in Texas, SMU and A&M makes sense.

We are in the right place (BE) especially if SMU consistently beats the Big12 teams (as I think they will). The Big12 is ruined by the political power of one or two schools. I don't think the BE will have such a mess. However, down the line, SEC might be a consideration.

Why would they do this, especially when the B12 is still so fragile? Texas and OU could bolt for the Pac-12 tomorrow, taking Tech and OSU with them. FSU and Clemson would be foolish to go to the Big 12. WVU only went because they had no shot at getting an ACC invite

You are assuming that the ACC will want to go back to 14.
But if they do, it will be UConn and Rutgers. UL, UC, and USF don't have the profile that the ACC is looking for.

Embrace the East, period. We have much to accomplish in the BE first. Candidly, the Big East maybe the best and final destination, assuming it keeps together.

Call me crazy but I don't think there is much of a chance of this happening. Yes the Big 12 is a much better football conference but besides that there isn't much of a difference between the two leagues.

We fit best in the ACC, but in sports our track record needs a huge improvement before we can even think about the ACC. We need to be appreciative that the Beast included us based mainly on promises to improve and little recent proven track record in all sports.

Larger tv revenue. And its ruining all the conferences in the country.

I realize there is more tv money but exit from the ACC also require 20 million dollar fee. The exit fee coupled with increased expenses has to make it somewhat close. If those schools are in as much financial trouble as has been reported then I don't understand how they are going to come up with the 20 million.
